Athens

We arrived in Athens, from Bangkok via Doha, on Orthodox Greek Easter Sunday. Although the city was slow for a few days we enjoyed the free admission to the Akropolis!!!



We also visited the Agora;

The Theatre of Dionysus;

and the Temple of Zeus;

I was able to give Ed a lesson on the Kore and Korai statues of Archaic Greece...

And Ed found the inspiration for his hairstyle....



The building on the right is the apartment building I lived in during my College Year in Athens, CYA rocks!!!

Nothing like a cup of sludge and some buttery pastry (aka Greek coffee, spanakopita and miropita) to begin a full day of sightseeing
