Vodice and Krka Falls

We drove down the coast from Plivtice Lakes and stopped in Vodice for a night. It was a nice harbor town beautiful by day and night.

We spent the next day at Krka Park, renowned for the karst geology, enormous waterfalls and traditional village.

It is also known as being the first place to fully power an entire town by hydro power. Technically Niagra Falls was using the wheel one day before, but had not figure out the means to reach the entire town yet.

It was soooo exciting to have an actual kitchen to use.

There was a replica village showing all the ways that the waterfall was used productively. Including milling grain, a fish ladder, softening wool and so much more.

This sign was particularly disturbing, fortunately it was a rarity!

I can tell which entries are written by Sal, and the ones by Ed. Sally has more exclamation points & Ed uses the word Epic frequently.

Why are you teasing us fisherpeople w/ these images of clear water & huge fish? Not fair!

Croatia looks absolutely gorgeous. I think you are in Barcelona now -- have some jamon for me!
